Created by SuperWeb LLC, Webget is a rogue browser extension claiming to enhance users' Internet browsing experience by displaying website trust ratings, websites containing related content, enabling coupons, comparison shopping, and adding other useful functionality.

Although this may seem a legitimate browser add-on, it is categorized as a potentially unwanted browser extension or adware. This rogue browser add-on employs a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' to install on browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) without users' consent.

Following successful infiltration, Webget tracks users' Internet browsing activity by recording various hardware and software information such as IP addresses, unique identifier numbers, search queries entered, URLs visited, pages viewed, and other similar details.

Created by Coupondownloader Inc (a Delaware corporation), Coupon Downloader is a browser add-on claiming to save time and money by displaying various coupons and shopping deals while browsing online shopping sites. Although this may seem a legitimate and useful browser extension, be aware that Coupon Downloader is a rogue browser plug-in categorized as adware.

This potentially unwanted application is compatible with Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome. It employs a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional applications together with the chosen software) to install on these browsers without users' consent.

At time of research, this browser plug-in was distributed using deceptive freeware 'download clients' and fake downloads. For example, fake Java updates or fake Internet browser updates.
