What is BrowserPro App?
The BrowserPro App plug-in supposedly saves time and money while shopping online, however, it is actually categorized as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP). This bogus app installs on computers using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional programs together with the chosen software).
Most users unwillingly install this browser extension during download of free software from freeware download websites.
After system infiltration, BrowserPro App generates intrusive online ads that often redirect to potentially rogue websites. Banner, in-text, pop-up, coupon, and interstitial are just examples from a list of advertisement types generated by this app. Note that clicking them exposes your system to risk of infection.
Be aware that BrowserPro App tracks users' Internet browsing activity and records various information such as IP addresses, websites visited, search queries entered into search engines, and pages viewed.
This information may contain personally identifiable details, and therefore, the presence of BrowserPro App on your system may lead to serious privacy issues or identity theft. There are many adware-type applications such as BrowserPro App with similar or identical behavior.
For example, NetSpeed App, Speed Browser, and Speedly all claim to increase Internet connection speeds. Although these apps promise to enable useful features, they in fact provide no real value to the user and are developed simply to generate revenue by the display of intrusive online ads and sharing collected data with third parties.
For these reasons, you are strongly advised to remove BrowserPro App from your system immediately.
Popular freeware download websites such as downloads.com and soft32.com employ small 'download programs' (called 'download clients', 'download tools', 'download managers', 'installers', etc.) to monetize their traffic and free services.
Although these apps claim to ease the download process, they are actually used to offer installation of third party software or simply to hide it within the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' options. These additional programs are described as 'genuine and virus-free', however, most are adware or malware.
To avoid computer infections, closely inspect each step of the free software download procedure and uncheck any included third party applications.
In addition, downloaded apps should be installed using the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' options - this will reveal any concealed apps listed for installation and allow you to cancel them. The following instructions will guide you through removal of BrowserPro App.
