Savvy Suggestor Adware

What is Savvy Suggestor?
Created by Prospera Software Inc, Savvy Suggestor offers a feature supposedly to improve the Internet search experience by displaying advanced results and search suggestions. Some users may find this functionality legitimate and useful, however, Savvy Suggestor is categorized as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
This application infiltrates Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' - stealth installation of third party applications together with regular software.
Following infiltration, Savvy Suggestor displays various intrusive online advertisements (mostly coupons), and since most redirect to bogus websites containing infectious content, clicking them exposes the system to risk of infection.
As with regular adware, Savvy Suggestor tracks Internet browsing activity and gathers various data that might contain personally identifiable information.
This collected information (IP addresses, websites visited, search queries, pages viewed, etc.) is shared with third parties, and therefore, the presence of this adware on your system may cause serious privacy issues or even identity theft. Analysis of Savvy Suggestor reveals that it is similar to other rogue applications distributed using the bundling method.
For example, PriceFab, Search Fairy, LittleApp Suggestor, and WunderWeb also claim to be legitimate, however, none provide any significant value for the user. Savvy Suggestor, together with other adware, is developed simply to generate revenue by the display of ads and sharing collected data with third parties. Therefore, you are strongly advised to uninstall Savvy Suggestor from your system immediately.
Many popular freeware download websites such as soft32.com, downloads.com, and softonic.com monetize their services vai small programs called 'download clients', which offer installation of third party applications (including Savvy Suggestor) together with the chosen software.
In some cases, these additional apps are simply hidden within the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' installation options. These promoted applications are often described as '100% legitimate and virus-free', however, most are adware or malware. To avoid computer infections, never rush the free software download process, and ensure that no extra applications are included.
All software downloaded from the Internet should be installed with the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' options - this will reveal any concealed applications listed for installation and allow you to decline them. If Savvy Suggestor is installed on your system, the following removal guide will help you to uninstall this PUP from your system.
