What is Cool Browser?

The Cool Browser application claims to be a legitimate Internet browser designed to deliver faster Internet browsing, protect users' privacy, and provide them with online anonymity. This software is identical to its previous version - Speed Browser.

Both versions may initially seem legitimate and useful, however, as with Speed Browser, Cool Browser is categorized as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP).

This extension is often distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' and is one reason for these negative associations. Bundling is a way to stealthily install third party applications together with regular software, and therefore, ArcadeTwist often infiltrates systems without users' consent.

Following installation on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, ArcadeTwist generates various advertisements such as coupon, pop-up, banner, and in-text ads. Clicking these advertisements may cause high-risk computer infections, since most redirect to bogus websites containing infectious content.
