RadPlayer Ads

What is RadPlayer?
RadPlayer is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) claiming to allow users to perform web searches and listen to music and radio stations. While this functionality may seem legitimate and useful, be aware that this browser add-on is categorized as adware.
RadPlayer employs a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional programs together with the chosen software) to install on Internet browsers without users' permission. Following successful infiltration, this rogue application generates intrusive online advertisements (including banner, pop-up/under, in-text, etc.) that may lead to high-risk adware or malware infections.
In addition, users' Internet browsing activity is continually monitored, since RadPlayer collects various software and hardware information that is likely to be personally identifiable. For example: IP addresses, websites visited, search queries entered, pages viewed, and other information.
This behavior can result in serious privacy issues or even identity theft. Be aware that RadPlayer is similar to other applications that claim to enhance the Internet browsing experience in various ways. VisualDiscovery, FindingDiscounts, PlusBrowserApps, and Nano Surfer are just some examples among many others.
None provide any significant value for the user - their purpose is to generate revenue by the display of intrusive online advertisements and sharing collected data with third parties. Therefore, you are strongly advised to uninstall RadPlayer from your system immediately.
Research shows that RadPlayer is mostly distributed using small programs called 'download clients' on freeware download websites such as download.com, softonic.com, soft32.com, and many others.
Download clients are used to monetize these websites' free services and traffic by offering installation of promoted (according to the developers, '100% legitimate and virus-free') browser extensions together with the chosen free software.
To avoid installation of RadPlayer, or other similar PUPs, pay close attention to each step of the free software download procedure and never accept installation of any additional applications offered.
Furthermore, installation of downloaded programs should be performed using the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options, rather than 'Typical', 'Regular', or 'Quick' - this will reveal any concealed applications listed for installation and allow you to decline them.
If your system is infected with RadPlayer, follow the instructions provided below to eliminate this adware from your Internet browsers.
