They claim to enhance users' Internet browsing experience by adding various useful features, and although these plug-ins may seem legitimate, they are categorized as adware or potentially unwanted applications, since they install on browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) without users' consent.

Furthermore, these add-ons generate intrusive ads and track users' Internet browsing activity. At time of research, these browser extensions were distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling', and thus, computer users often install them inadvertently together with free software downloaded from the Internet.

Research shows that this browser settings-changing adware is distributed using fake downloads (fake browser updates, rogue Java, or Flash Player downloads).
