MMDecrypt Ransomware

What is MMDecrypt?

MMDecrypt ransomware encrypts files and changes their extensions, creates two ransom messages, displays a pop-up window and changes the desktop wallpaper. It renames all encrypted files by appending the ".TRSomware" extension to filenames. For example, "1.jpg" becomes "1.jpg.TRSomware".

It stores the "@Lütfen_Beni_Oku!@.txt" and "@Please_Read_Me@.txt" text files (ransom messages) in all folders that contain encrypted files.

It changes the wallpaper by using an image called "@Wallpaper@.png" and displays a pop-up window by launching the "@MMDecrypt0r@.exe" executable file. Both of these files can be found on the desktop. MMDecrypt is a new variant of KesLan ransomware and was discovered by GrujaRS.

Tor+ Ransomware

What is Tor+?

Discovered by S!Ri, Tor+ is a malicious program classified as ransomware. This malware operates by encrypting data and demanding payment for decryption tools/software. Once this process is complete, Tor+ opens a pop-up window, which contains the ransom message.
