What is ritteddelibacyca[.]info?
Sharing many similarities with dolohen.com, essaemiaaut.com, aleailarm.com and countless others, ritteddelibacyca[.]info is a rogue site. It operates by presenting visitors with dubious content and generating redirects to other untrustworthy and malicious web pages.
Most users access these websites through redirects caused by intrusive advertisements or Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs) already infiltrated into the system. Note that these apps do not need express permission to be installed onto devices. PUAs force-open various dubious and harmful pages, run intrusive ad campaigns and record users' browsing habits.
ritteddelibacyca[.]info first checks visitors' IP addresses to determine their geolocations. This is crucial in deciding the site's further course of action. Depending on their geolocations, users are redirected elsewhere or presented with dubious content.
Additionally, ritteddelibacyca[.]info uses browser notifications, the consent option to which is disguised within 'clickbait' ("PREPARE TO DOWNLOAD! You need to enable browser notifications to start downloading. ENABLE AND DOWNLOAD").
If visitors are tricked into consenting to these notifications, ritteddelibacyca[.]info then begins running intrusive advertisement campaigns. As well as being a nuisance, these ads are also a threat to device/user safety.
They are a danger due to the dubious and malicious web pages to which they redirect and for their ability to execute scripts designed to stealthily download/install PUAs. As mentioned, unwanted applications cause redirects to similarly hazardous pages and can deliver intrusive ads.
Most PUAs also possess data tracking capabilities. They monitor browsing activity (URLs visited, search queries, etc.) and collect users' personal information (IP addresses, geolocations and other details). This gathered data can then be shared with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) intent on generating revenue by misusing it.
Therefore, PUAs can cause browser/system infiltration and infections and lead to serious privacy issues, financial loss and identity theft. To ensure device integrity and user safety, remove all suspicious applications and browser extensions/plug-ins without delay.

PUAs tend to appear legitimate, but entice users to install with a wide variety of "useful" and "beneficial" functions. These features are rarely operational and, even if they do work, it is not as advertised. The sole purpose of all unwanted content is to generate profit for the developers, whilst regular users receive no value.
After successful installation, PUAs force-open untrustworthy/malicious pages, run intrusive ad campaigns and track private data.
How did adware install on my computer?
PUAs proliferate via the download/installation set-ups of other software. This deceptive marketing technique of packing regular programs with unwanted or malicious content is called "bundling". By rushing through download and installation processes (e.g. ignoring terms, skipping steps, etc.), many users risk unintentionally allowing bundled applications onto devices.
Certain PUAs have "official" download pages from which they can often be downloaded "free". When clicked, intrusive ads can execute scripts to download/install this type of app without users' consent.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
You are advised to research all content, before downloading/installing. Use only official and verified download sources. P2P sharing networks (BitTorrent, eMule, Gnutella, etc.), free-file hosting websites and other third party downloaders are untrustworthy and should be avoided. Treat download and installation processes with caution.
Read the terms, explore all possible options, use the "Custom/Advanced" settings and decline offers to download/install additional apps, tools, functions, etc. Intrusive ads usually seem normal and innocuous, however, they can redirect to highly dubious sites (e.g. gambling, pornography, adult-dating and so on).
If you experience advertisements/redirects of this kind, check the system and immediately remove all dubious applications and/or browser extensions/plug-ins. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
