YellowMarkApp Ads

What is YellowMarkApp?
YellowMarkApp is a deceptive browser extension claiming to generate the most relevant advertisements. Some users may believe that this add-on is legitimate and useful, however, be aware that YellowMarkApp is categorized as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
The main reason for these negative associations is rogue behavior exhibited by YellowMarkApp, which includes stealth system infiltration, display of intrusive ads, and tracking of Internet browsing activity.
This application displays a variety of intrusive online advertisements including service promotion. This is achieved using a virtual layer, which enables placement of any graphical content on visited websites. The displayed advertisements do not originate from any of the visited sites and conceal underlying web content, thereby significantly diminishing the Internet browsing experience.
In addition, some advertisements might redirect to infectious websites - clicking them could lead to further high-risk adware or malware infections. Furthermore YellowMarkApp monitors Internet browsing activity and collects related information that might contain personally identifiable information.
This gathered information is later shared with third parties, and therefore, having YellowMarkApp installed on your system can lead to various privacy issues. We strongly recommend that you uninstall this adware immediately.
All adware-type applications have very similar characteristics. For instance, as with YellowMarkApp, Magical Find, FunFeedr, and CouponDropDown also claim to enable functionality to supposedly improve the Internet browsing experience. These false claims are merely attempts to give the impression legitimate and useful software.
Adware-type applications attempt to infiltrate systems in order to display advertisements and gather private data. Their sole purpose is to generate revenue for the developers - they provide none of the functionality promised and are useless to users.
How did YellowMarkApp install on my computer?
YellowMarkApp is often distributed as a 'bundle' with other (mostly free) software. The bundling method is popular and effective, since many users do not pay enough attention when downloading and installing software. They are unaware that rogue apps are hidden within the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings. By skipping this section, users inadvertently install PUPs and expose their systems to risk of infection.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Perform the download and installation processes with caution. Closely analyze each step and opt-out of any bundled applications listed for installation. Select the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' download/installation options, rather than 'Quick', 'Typical' or 'Regular' - this will reveal any bundled software listed for installation and allow you to opt-out.
