Ads by Positive Finds

What is Positive Finds?
Created by SuperWeb LLC, Positive Finds is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) claiming to enhance the Internet browsing experience by enabling coupons, comparison shopping, and other similar features. While this functionality may seem legitimate and useful, be aware that the Positive Finds browser extension is categorized as adware.
These associations are made due to a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional programs together with the chosen software) employed by Positive Finds to install on Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) without users' permission.
After successful infiltration, Positive Finds generates intrusive online advertisements such as banner, search, interstitial, transitional, pop-up, and full-page ads. There is a high probability that clicking these advertisements will cause high-risk adware or malware infections.
Furthermore, this dubious plug-in continually collects various software and hardware information that may be personally identifiable. This collected information includes IP addresses (to determine users' geo-locations), URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries entered, unique identifier numbers, and other details.
Information tracking such as this may result in serious privacy issues or even identity theft. SuperWeb LLC has released several hundred PUPs identical to Positive Finds. Follow Rules, Strong Signal, and Round World are just some examples among many others - none of these are useful to the user.
SuperWeb LLC intentionally releases identical browser plug-ins under different names to avoid detection by legitimate anti-spyware and anti-virus software - the purpose of these plug-ins is to generate revenue by the display of intrusive online ads and sharing collected data with third parties. Therefore, you are strongly advised uninstall Positive Finds from your system immediately.
Today, most adware (including Positive Finds) is distributed using small download programs (called 'installers', 'download managers', 'download clients', etc.) on freeware download websites such as download.com, softonic.com, soft32.com, and many others.
Download programs are developed to monetize these websites' free services and traffic by offering installation of advertised (according to the developers, '100% legitimate and virus-free') browser extensions together with the chosen free software. Thus, reckless download and installation often results in adware or malware infections.
This can be prevented by closely inspecting each step of the free software download procedure and declining all offers to install additional programs.
In addition, software downloaded from the Internet should be installed using the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options - this will reveal any bundled applications listed for installation and allow you to opt-out.
If you have installed Positive Finds, and you observe intrusive online advertisements, read the following removal guide and eliminate this adware from your system immediately.
