What is ads.randysnaps.com?
ads.randysnaps.com is another rogue website (similar or identical to studientede.club, settting.com, and utroro.com) designed to redirect visitors to other untrustworthy sites. Most users arrive at ads.randysnaps.com unintentionally - they are redirected to it by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs).
Most PUAs are installed inadvertently and, in addition to redirects, deliver intrusive advertisements and collect information.
Once a potentially unwanted application is installed, it forces browsers to open new tabs/windows and triggers a redirect to ads.randysnaps.com. From here, users are redirected to even more (typically 2-3) potentially malicious sites that might cause high-risk computer infections.
Most PUAs collect data (such as IP addresses, keystrokes, geo-locations, search queries, visited websites, etc.) that is later shared with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) and used to generate revenue. Research shows that, in some cases, gathered data includes sensitive or personally identifiable information.
Therefore, users could experience various problems such as privacy issues or even identity theft. Furthermore, many potentially unwanted applications also deliver ads that are usually delivered in the form of coupons, banners, surveys, pop-ups, etc. They are displayed using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site and conceal underlying content.
When clicked, they can cause unwanted redirects to potentially malicious websites or run scripts designed to download and install potentially unwanted applications or malware. This can also affect computer performance, since PUAs often run background processes. Therefore, you are strongly advised to remove these applications immediately.

There are countless potentially unwanted applications available on the Internet, of which have identical behavior. Developers offer various "useful" features or tools, and in doing so, trick users into downloading them. Generally, most PUAs do not provide the functionality promised or deliver any real value for regular users.
They are designed for just one purpose - to provide potentially unwanted ads, cause redirects to untrustworthy websites, and gather user information.
How did adware install on my computer?
Many potentially unwanted applications can be downloaded from their official websites, but most are installed accidentally through clicked intrusive advertisements or via a deceptive marketing method called "bundling". Bundling installs potentially unwanted applications together with other (usually free) software.
PUAs are often hidden in "Custom", "Advanced" or other similar options/settings of the installation dialogs. Developers tend to conceal information about installation of PUAs - they do not disclose such installations properly.
Furthermore, many users skip installation steps and click ads, thereby triggering inadvertent installation of potentially unwanted applications and exposing their privacy and system to various risks.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Careless behaviour and poor knowledge are the main reasons for computer infections. Be cautious when browsing the web and downloading or installing software (especially free software). Do not download software from unofficial/untrustworthy websites, using torrents or other third party downloaders.
Remember to check all available "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar options when installing software. Do not miss any checkbox that is ticked by default. Bear in mind that most malicious advertisements lead to adult dating, pornography, gambling, and other similar suspicious websites.
If you have clicked ads that lead you to such websites, check all extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins installed on your browser and programs installed on your computer.
Uninstall any suspicious/unwanted applications or software immediately. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
