Mass Sea Adware

What is Mass Sea?
Mass Sea is a deceptive application developed by SuperWeb LLC. By falsely claiming to enhance the web browsing experience, Mass Sea often tricks users into believing that it is a legitimate and useful app.
"We're passionate about improving web by providing the best tools to enhance the browsing experience, from searching the web to comparing online deals to find the best prices. We've combined all of our great ideas into the Mass Sea product suite, a FREE set of tools that work to make your browsing experience... better!"
Be aware, however, that Mass Sea usually infiltrates systems without users’ permission. In addition, it continually gathers various user/system information and delivers intrusive online advertisements. For these reasons, Mass Sea is classed as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
Following infiltration, Mass Sea records unique identifier numbers, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (to determine geographic location), websites visited, pages viewed, search queries, and other similar data relating to users' web browsing activity.
This information might be personally identifiable and shared by SuperWeb LLC with cooperating third party companies (who often misuse private information to generate revenue). Thus, the presence of an information-tracking app on your system can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft.
Another downside of this PUP is the display of intrusive online advertisements. Mass Sea employs a 'virtual layer' to generate pop-up, coupon, banner, price comparison, interstitial, transitional, full-page, search, and other similar advertisements. None originate from users' visited websites and conceal underlying content.
This significantly diminishes the web browsing experience. Furthermore, displayed ads commonly lead to malicious websites - clicking them can cause further high-risk adware or malware infections. We strongly advise you to uninstall Mass Sea adware immediately.
Mass Sea Privacy Policy statement regarding data collection:
We only share or sell your non-public personal information with non-affiliated third parties when we believe doing so is permitted by you or authorized by this Privacy Policy. In addition, the Company may share your personal information with our parent, subsidiary or affiliate companies without restriction.
SuperWeb LLC has developed hundreds of identical potentially unwanted programs including Browser Toolbox, Search Expanse, Nicer Together, and Search Passage. All claim to enhance the web browsing experience, however, SuperWeb LLC simply aims to generate as much revenue as possible - its products provide no significant value for regular users.
Apps such as Mass Sea collect personal data (which is later sold to third parties) and deliver intrusive online advertisements (via the 'Pay Per Click’ [PPC] advertising model).
How did Mass Sea install on my computer?
This company employs a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' - stealth installation of third party programs with regular software/apps. Therefore, many users install Mass Sea adware inadvertently, since they do not pay enough attention when downloading and installing software.
Hiding installation of bogus programs is very effective for developers who conceal PUPs within the 'Custom/Advanced' settings of the download/installation processes. Thus, users who skip this section, often install applications such as Mass Sea inadvertently.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
There are two simple steps you should take to prevent this situation. Firstly, never rush when downloading and installing software. Select the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings and carefully analyze each step. Secondly, decline all offers to download or install additional programs and opt-out of those already included.
