ArmorArcade Adware

What is ArmorArcade?
ArmorArcade is dubious application that supposedly allows users to play dozens of arcade games. Initially, this application may seem legitimate, however, due to rogue behavior (stealth installation, tracking of users' web browsing activity, display of intrusive online advertisements), ArmorArcade is classed as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and adware.
ArmorArcade generates pop-up, banner, coupon, and a number of other similar advertisement types. To achieve this, developers employ a 'virtual layer' - a tool that enables placement of third party graphical content on any site. Many users are unaware that ads displayed by this PUP do not originate from their visited websites.
These advertisements often conceal underlying website content, thereby significantly diminishing the web browsing experience. In addition, they might redirect to malicious websites - clicking them risks further computer infections.
In addition, ArmorArcade records various data that might be personally identifiable (for example, IP addresses, website URLs visited, search queries entered into search engines, pages viewed, etc.).
This collected information is later shared with third parties who often misuse it to generate revenue - behavior that can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. Therefore, you are strongly advised to uninstall ArmorArcade adware immediately.
There are hundreds of potentially unwanted programs identical to ArmorArcade. Examples include ArcadeCake, ArcadeIsle, ZipArcade, and ArcadeRoyal.
All offer identical functionality, however, none provide any real value. ArmorArcade, and other identical programs, are developed only to generate revenue for the developers. These adware-type applications simply collect private data and continually deliver intrusive online advertisements.
How did ArmorArcade install on my computer?
Developers employ a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' to distribute this PUP. Bundling is essentially stealth installation of potentially unwanted programs with regular software.
Developers are aware that many users do not express enough caution during download/installation processes and intentionally conceal all bogus programs within the 'Custom/Advanced' settings of these procedures. By skipping this section, users expose their systems to risk of various infections.
The more developers promote their products, the more revenue they generate and, thus, rogue installation are never properly disclosed.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
This situation can be prevented by taking a number of simple steps. The key to computer safety is caution - never rush the download/installation processes. Closely analyze each step using the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings. Furthermore, cancel all additionally-included programs, since bundled programs are often rogue and should, thus, never be installed.
