Whilst such added functionality may seem legitimate, in fact, Searchadence is categorized as adware. This software installs on users' Internet browsers without their consent and generates various intrusive ads. For example, search, banner, text link, transitional, interstitial, and full page advertisements.

This browser extension claims to help save time and money whilst shopping online, however, it generates various offer ads when users visit online shopping websites such as PriceGrabber, Shopzilla, shopping.com, etc.

Whilst Shopping Suggestion may appear as a legitimate browser plugin, in fact, it is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application - it installs without users' consent, and after successful infiltration, generates various intrusive ads.

What is Websteroids?

Websteroids is a potentially unwanted application developed by Creative Island Media LLC. This browser add-on allows users to play the game 'Asteroids' whilst browsing the Internet. The application, however, installs without consent and causes various intrusive ads.

Commonly, computer users install this plugin together with free software downloaded from the Internet. Developers of this browser extension use a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling'.

After successful installation, Websteroids tracks users' Internet browsing activities by recording IP addresses, unique identifier numbers, operating systems, browsers, web page URLs visited, search queries entered, and other software information. Furthermore, this adware generates banner, in-text, and interstitial advertisements.

In fact, Fassurun adds no significant value, and moreover, the plugin tracks users' Internet surfing activity and generates intrusive ads.

The add-on is developed by Super Web LLC. This company releases identical browser extensions to avoid detection by legitimate antivirus and anti-spyware programs.

Internet users should be aware that after successful infiltration, this adware records the user's IP address, unique identifier number, operating system, browser information, URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries entered, and other software and hardware information.

What is Activity Booster?

Windows Activity Booster is a fake antivirus program that reports nonexistent security infections to scare PC users into activating it's "ultimate protection" (purchasing its full version) to remove the supposedly detected security infections.

PC users should know that in reality none of the security threats that are being indicated by this bogus software actually exist on one's computer - Cyber criminals who created this rogue software are hoping that PC users will fall for this trickery and will purchase this program.

Notice that buying Windows Activity Booster would equal to sending one's money to Cyber criminals; moreover, users would also give away their credit card information and this could end in further money thefts.

   
Smart Guard Protection

What is Smart Guard?

Smart Guard Protection is a rogue antivirus program that reports non existent security infections in order to scare PC users into purchasing a 'full version', which supposedly removes 'detected' malware. This program is created by cyber criminals who distribute this fake antivirus program via infected email messages, exploit kits, and malicious websites.

After successful infiltration, this bogus software modifies operating system registry entries and configures itself to run automatically on each system startup. Furthermore, Smart Guard Protection blocks execution of installed programs and prevents access to the Task Manager.

PC users should be aware that this program is merely an imitation of legitimate antivirus software and none of the security infections detected by this program exist on their computers.

   
Antivirus Plus 2014

What is Antivirus Plus 2014?

Antivirus Plus 2014 is a rogue antivirus program that mimics the detection of high-risk malware infections in order to scare PC users into purchasing a useless license key. This bogus software is created by cyber criminals who distribute it via infected email messages, P2P networks, malicious websites, and 'exploit kits'.

Following successful infiltration, this fake antivirus software begins imitating a legitimate security program by initiating a computer security scan. After less than a minute, Antivirus Plus 2014 reports that the security scan is complete and that various viruses and malware are detected on the system.

To eliminate these supposedly 'detected' security threats, users are encouraged to 'Activate Full Time Protection' (i.e. purchase a license key for this program). Do not fall for this trickery - no security infections indicated by this program actually exist on your computer.

The You-Bar browser add-on is developed by WW3 LLC and claims to enhance users' interaction with various websites by rendering graphics, text, or other functional or interactive content within the browser. While these claims may sound legitimate, Internet users should be aware that the You-Bar plugin is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application.

This add-on provides no real value, and moreover, diminishes Internet browser performance and generates intrusive ads that can lead to high-risk malware and virus infections.

   
Websearch.searchguru.info Virus

What is Websearch.searchguru.info?

The Websearch.searchguru.info browser hijacker infiltrates users' Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) through free software downloads. After successful installation, this adware modifies Internet browser settings by assigning the homepage and default search engine fields to websearch.searchguru.info

Moreover, this browser hijacker prevents users from rolling back these changes by using a deceptive browser 'helper object' called 'Search Assistant Websearch'.

While the developers of this browser add-on claim that it makes Internet browsing more productive, by providing computer users with 'Best search portals', in fact, the searchguru add-on is useless and categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application.
