On initial inspection, this browser plug-in may seem legitimate and useful, however, due to its rogue behavior, Constant Fun is categorized as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP). Identical to My Radio XP, My Current News XP, My Daily Verse XP, and a number of other PUPs, Install Faster is a bogus application claiming to provide file download, scanning, and conversion functionality, and also allow users to search the Internet.

On initial inspection, this app many seem legitimate and useful, however, Install Faster is classed as a browser hijacker and a potentially unwanted program (PUP). This application often infiltrates systems without users’ permission. XRTN Ransomware

What is XRTN?

XRTN is a malicious application that employs Gnu Privacy Guard to encrypt files stored on victims' computers with RSA-1024 encryption. Once the files are encrypted, XRTN demands payment in exchange for a private key used to decrypt the files.

When the infected system is restarted, users are presented with an HTA file containing instructions to contact the email address  xrtnhelp@yandex.ru provided to receive further payment-related instructions. At time of research, the amount demanded by developers is unknown.
