The developers of this PUP employ a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional programs together with the chosen software) to install Celebrity Alert on Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome) without users' permission.

Home.tb.ask.com is a legitimate Internet search website. Despite this, users are often redirected to this website by many browser toolbars (for example, DiscoverAncestryGameTrekkers, MindDabble, WeatherBlink, and MyScrapNook) that are categorized as browser hijackers.

The developers of these toolbars (Mindspark Interactive Network Inc.) employ a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' to infiltrate these rogue extensions on most popular Internet browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox.
