SpaceSoundPro Ads

What is SpaceSoundPro?
The SpaceSoundPro application claims to improve sound definition when users play games, watch movies, and listen to music - "Do not miss the first high-end HiFi emulator on PC! Increased definition, rediscovered clarity, your music library is totally sublimated."
This functionality may seem legitimate and useful, however, this application is classed as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and adware. SpaceSoundPro infiltrates systems during installation of other (mostly free) software. After successful system infiltration, this app displays intrusive online advertisements.
SpaceSoundPro employs a virtual layer to display various intrusive online advertisements on any website visited. The ads displayed do not originate from the visited site and significantly diminish the Internet browsing experience by concealing underlying content.
Furthermore, users must continually avoid clicking them to prevent unwanted browser redirects. The advertisements might seem harmless, however, some may redirect to rogue sites containing infectious content, thereby causing high-risk computer infections. If you are concerned with your computer safety, uninstall SpaceSoundPro immediately.
SpaceSoundPro is similar to other adware-type apps that display ads and collect personally identifiable information. Applications such as Storm Warnings, BrowserAir, MyTubeTheater, and Coupoon are developed to trick users by offering various 'useful' features.
None provide the features promised - these applications display intrusive online advertisements and record various private information to generate revenue for the developers.
How did SpaceSoundPro install on my computer?
SpaceSoundPro is available for download on its official website. The developers of this PUP also employ a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of third party apps with the chosen software) to install SpaceSoundPro without users' permission.
Research shows that many users do not pay enough attention during download and installation of software, and therefore, bundling is very effective. Users often skip most/all of these procedure steps, unaware that bogus applications are concealed within the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings. By rushing installation, they inadvertently install potentially unwanted programs.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
The key to computer safety is caution. Never rush download and installation of software - closely analyze both procedures. Follow each step of the software download process and opt-out of all additionally-included programs. Furthermore, installation of applications should be performed using the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' options - this will reveal any rogue applications and allow you to decline them.
