Tile Count Ads

What is Tile Count?
Tile Count adware is presented as a legitimate tool that supposedly eases the Internet browsing experience by enabling various features such as coupons and comparison shopping. This functionality may seem legitimate and useful, however, Tile Count is categorized as a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
SuperWeb LLC is responsible for the development and release of this adware. They employ a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' to distribute Tile Count, which is one of the reasons for these negative associations.
Bundling is stealth installation of third party applications together with regular software, and therefore, Tile Count often infiltrates computers during download and installation of free software downloadable on freeware download websites.
Once Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome are successfully infiltrated, Tile Count generates intrusive online advertisements (banners, coupons, search, interstitial, transitional, full-page, pop-up, etc.) that are likely to redirect to rogue websites containing infectious content, thereby exposing your computer to risk of infection.
Following successful installation, Tile Count gathers various Internet browsing-related information including (but not limited to) IP addresses, websites visited, pages viewed, search queries, and unique identifier numbers.
Be aware that some of this information may be personally identifiable, and therefore, having Tile Count adware installed on your system can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. SuperWeb LLC has released several hundred rogue applications identical to Tile Count.
This company intentionally releases identical apps under different names (for example, Crazy Score, Joomiweb, and Sale Charger) to prevent detection by legitimate anti-virus and anti-spyware software.
Although the apps claim to offer useful features, none deliver any real value - they are developed to generate revenue by the display of intrusive online ads and sharing collected data with third parties. You are strongly advised to uninstall Tile Count from your system immediately.
As with most other adware, Tile Count is often distributed via small programs called 'download clients' on freeware download websites such as download.com, soft32.com, and softonic.com. Download clients are used to monetize these websites' free services and traffic by offering installation of additional programs together with the chosen software.
These advertised applications are described as '100% legitimate and virus-free', however, reckless download and installation of freeware exposes computers to risk of infection. This situation can be avoided by closely analysing each step of the free software download procedure and clicking 'Decline' for any offers of third party application installation.
Furthermore, downloaded applications should be installed using the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' options - this will reveal any bundled programs listed for installation and allow you to opt-out. If you have installed Tile Count adware, and you observe intrusive online advertisements while surfing the Internet, the following instructions will guide you through removal of this PUP from your system.
