What is Shop Easy?
Created by SuperWeb LLC, Shop Easy is a bogus browser plug-in claiming to improve the Internet browsing experience by enabling features such as comparison shopping and coupons. This add-on may seem legitimate and useful, however, be aware that Shop Easy is classed as adware.
This association is made due to a deceptive free software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of third-party apps together the chosen software) employed by Shop Easy to install on Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) without users' consent.
Following successful infiltration on these browsers, the user will observe intrusive online advertisements such as pop-ups, banners, full-page, interstitial, transitional, search, and other similar ads. Clicking these advertisements may cause further computer infections.
In addition, this rogue application continually monitors and records various software and hardware information that can include personally identifiable details. Optional method:
If you continue to have problems with removal of the shop easy adware, reset your Google Chrome browser settings. Click the Chrome menu icon (at the top right corner of Google Chrome) and select Settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Click the Advanced… link.
