What is SensePlus?
Created by Object Browser, SensePlus is a potentially unwanted application claiming to enhance the Internet browsing experience by displaying various coupons and deals when visiting shopping websites.
While this added functionality may seem legitimate, be aware that SensePlus is adware that infiltrates Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) when free software is downloaded from the Internet.
The creators of this rogue browser plug-in employ a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling', and therefore, most computer users install SensePlus inadvertently without their consent. At time of research, this rogue add-on was promoted through fake Java and browser update downloads.
After successful infiltration, this browser extension generates various intrusive ads (banner ads, pop-up ads, etc.) and tracks users' Internet browsing activity by recording IP addresses, websites visited, and other information.
Computer users who have unwillingly installed this browser extension report that they observe intrusive ads from various sources, including, for example, advertise.com, Dealply, Superfish, Verti technologies, Jollywallet, Text enhance, Alerta Descontos, Cortica "Snappyimages", GetDeal "CouponScout", Digital Beacon "Vitruvianleads", Imonomy "Vis-add", IRobinhood, No Problem, and R&E "FoxyDeals".
