BrowzBi Virus

What is BrowzBi?
BrowzBi is a potentially unwanted browser add-on developed by SuperWeb LLC, which claims to improve users' Internet browsing experience by displaying website trust ratings, websites containing related content, enabling comparison shopping, coupons, and other similar functions.
Although this browser extension may seem legitimate, it is considered to be adware since BrowzBi uses a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' to stealthily install on browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) without users' permission.
Following successful infiltration, the add-on generates various intrusive online advertisements including interstitial, transitional, search, text link, banner, and full page ads.
Furthermore, users' Internet browser activity is continually tracked - this adware records various hardware and software information such as IP addresses, unique identifier numbers, URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries entered, and other similar information.
Having BrowzBi installed on your system may lead to serious privacy issues, identity theft, or high-risk malware infections. At time of research, SuperWeb LLC had released over one hundred identical browser add-ons under different names (including, for example, Bellaphant, BrowseBurst, and BringStar) to avoid detection by legitimate anti-virus and anti-spyware software.
Internet users should be aware that neither BrowzBi, nor any other plug-ins developed by this company, add any real value for the user - their main purpose is to generate income by the display of intrusive online advertisements.
Most current freeware download websites including download.com, softonic.com, soft32.com, and many others, employ 'download clients' to monetize their free services. Download clients are small programs offering installation of promoted browser extensions along with the chosen software.
Careless download and installation may lead to adware or malware infections, and therefore, users should pay close attention during the download of free software and decline installation of any additional applications.
If you are installing downloaded software, choose the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical' - this will reveal any bundled applications attempting stealth installation together with chosen free software, and you will be able to decline them.
Users who have already installed BrowzBi and observe "BrowzBi Deals", "Powered by BrowzBi", and "Ads by BrowzBi" advertisements when browsing the Internet, should follow this removal guide to eliminate BrowBi adware from their Internet browser/s.
