Always Weather Adware

What is Always Weather?
Always Weather is a deceptive application that supposedly provides the latest weather forecasts. Judging on appearance alone, Always Weather may seem legitimate and useful, however, this app is categorized as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and adware.
There are three main reasons for these negative associations: 1) stealth installation without permission; 2) display of intrusive online advertisements, and; 3) potential tracking of Internet browsing activity.
Following infiltration, Always Weather delivers various advertisements including (but not limited to) pop-ups, banners, and coupons. Note that cyber criminals use a "virtual layer" to deliver these ads. This enables placement of third party graphical content on any site.
Therefore, the ads often conceal underlying website content, significantly diminishing the browsing experience. Research also shows that intrusive ads often redirect to malicious websites or activate scripts that download and install malware. Therefore, even accidental clicks can result in high-risk adware or malware infections.
Furthermore, many adware-type applications monitor users' browsing activity by gathering IP addresses, URLs visited, pages viewed, queries entered into search engines, mouse/keyboard activity, geo-locations, and other similar data that might contain private details.
PUP developers generate revenue by selling this information to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who also aim to increase their revenue by misusing personal details. Information-tracking apps pose a direct threat to users' privacy and identities. Therefore, we strongly advise you to uninstall Always Weather adware immediately.

Always Weather is identical to Search In Tabs, Tabs2Grid, Plugins Button, and many other apps. It also has very similar characteristics to hundreds of other adware-type applications. All offer different functionality, and yet, have identical behavior. Adware-type apps are designed only to generate revenue for the developers.
Claims to provide 'useful features' are merely attempts to give the impression of legitimacy. Programs such as Always Weather give no significant value for regular users. These apps deliver intrusive online advertisements (using the "Pay Per Click" advertising model) and continually gather various user-system information (which is later sold to third parties).
How did Always Weather install on my computer?
Always Weather has an official promotion website, however, as mentioned above, malware is also distributed using intrusive online advertisements. In addition, developers employ a deceptive marketing method called "bundling" - stealth installation of third party programs side with regular (mostly free) software.
They are aware that users often rush the download/installation processes and skip steps. Therefore, they hide bundled PUPs within the "Custom/Advanced" options. Carelessly clicking advertisements and rushing the download/installation processes thus exposes systems to risk of various infections and compromises users' privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
PUPs are distributed via intrusive ads, and by using the aforementioned "bundling" method. Therefore, be careful when browsing the Internet. Avoid clicking any advertisements - criminals do their best to make these ads appear genuine and it is virtually impossible to tell if they originate from the visited website.
Furthermore, never rush the download or installation processes. Select the "Custom/Advanced" options, closely analyze each download/installation step, and opt-out of all additionally-included programs. Furthermore, select the direct download link, rather than using third party download tools.
Poor knowledge of these threats and rushing steps are the main reasons for computer infections. The key to computer safety is caution.
