Search In Tabs Adware

What is Search In Tabs?
Search In Tabs is a deceptive application that supposedly allows users to search the Internet directly from opened browsing tabs.
Judging on appearance alone, Search In Tabs may seem to be a legitimate and useful app, however, it is categorized as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and adware. There are three main reasons for these negative associations: 1) installation without consent; 2) display of intrusive online advertisements; 3) potential tracking of users' Internet browsing activity.
Following infiltration, Search In Tabs delivers various intrusive online advertisements (pop-up, coupon, banner, etc.) This behavior may not seem significant, however, these ads often conceal underlying content, significantly diminishing the browsing experience. In addition, they can lead to malicious websites or activate scripts that download/install malware.
Therefore, even accidental clicks might result in high-risk computer infections. PUPs such as Search In Tabs often monitor browsing activity by gathering various user-system information. The list of collected data types usually includes (but is not limited to) Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, mouse/keyboard activity, geo-locations, etc.
Developers share this information with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who generate revenue by misusing private data. Therefore, data tracking can result in serious privacy issues or even identity theft. You are advised to uninstall Search In Tabs adware immediately.

Search In Tabs is identical to Bookmarks Access, Plugins Button, Tabs2Grid, and a number of other adware-type apps. They offer different functionality, but all have identical behavior. Adware-type applications may seem useful, however, their only purpose is to generate revenue for the developers, whilst regular users receive no significant value.
They are designed to deliver intrusive advertisements (via the "Pay Per Click" advertising model) and record various user-system information (which is later sold to third parties).
How did Search In Tabs install on my computer?
Search In Tabs has an official download website, however, developers also distribute this PUP using a deceptive marketing method called "bundling" - stealth installation of third party applications with regular software/apps. They hide bundled apps within the "Custom" or "Advanced" settings of the download/installation processes.
Therefore, skipping this section often leads to inadvertent installation of rogue apps such as Search In Tabs.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
As mentioned above, PUPs are often distributed using the bundling method or via intrusive online advertisements. Therefore, be very cautious when browsing the Internet. Carefully analyze each download/installation step (especially the "Custom/Advanced" options) and opt-out of all additionally-included programs.
Furthermore, never click any displayed advertisements, since these can lead to various computer infections. The key to computer safety is caution.
