Bizarrehall Adware
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is Bizarrehall?
Bizarrehall is a deceptive application that supposedly enhances the Internet browsing experience by providing a feature to improve search results. On initial inspection, Bizarrehall may appear legitimate and useful, however, this application infiltrates systems without consent.
Furthermore, it continually delivers intrusive online advertisements and records various information relating to users' browsing activity. For these reasons, Bizarrehall is classed as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and adware.
Following infiltration, Bizarrehall delivers intrusive online advertisements (for instance, pop-ups, coupons, banners, etc.) that often conceal underlying website content, thereby significantly diminishing the browsing experience. Furthermore these ads might redirect to websites containing malicious content or even activate scripts designed to download and install viruses.
Therefore, clicking intrusive ads is risky and can lead to high-risk adware or malware infections. In addition, Bizarrehall records various data relating to browsing activity.
The collected data (IP addresses, website URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, URLs visited, and so on) will contain personal details that Bizarrehall's developers sell to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals). These people also attempt to increase their revenue by misusing information relating to users' identities.
Therefore, the presence of an information-tracking app such as Bizarrehall can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. You are strongly advised to uninstall Bizarrehall adware immediately.

Bizarrehall is identical to Kariloo and Fooriza. It also shares many similarities with dozens of other adware-type applications such as Search In Tabs, Tabs2Grid, and ShutDownTime. All offer 'valuable functionality', however, claims to provide 'useful features' are merely attempts to give the impression of legitimacy.
The only purpose of Bizarrehall, and other similar PUPs, is to generate revenue for the developers, whilst regular users receive no value. As mentioned above, adware-type applications are designed only to generate intrusive advertisements (using the "Pay Per Click" advertising model) and continually record various user-system information (which is later sold to third parties).
How did Bizarrehall install on my computer?
This adware has an official download website, however, it is also distributed using a deceptive marketing method called "bundling" - stealth installation of third party software with regular programs. Many users often skip the download/installation steps.
Aware of this, developers conceal bundled programs (such as Bizarrehall) within the "Custom/Advanced" settings. As mentioned above, criminals also proliferate PUPs by employing intrusive online advertisements.
Therefore, rushing the download/installation steps and clicking intrusive advertisements often leads to inadvertent installation of additional PUPs. In addition, this situation compromises users' privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
PUPs are distributed using the aforementioned bundling method and intrusive ads. Therefore, express caution when browsing the Internet. Carefully analyze each download/installation step using the "Custom/Advanced" options and decline offers to download/install additional programs.
If opting-out of third party applications is not possible, cancel the procedure. Furthermore, avoid clicking displayed advertisements. Cyber criminals attempt to make intrusive ads appear legitimate - often it is virtually impossible to ascertain which ads are legitimate. Therefore, we strongly advise you to not click any advertisements.
