Music Player Ads

What is Music Player?
Music Player is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that supposedly allows users to play various audio formats. Initially, this app may seem legitimate and useful, however, research shows that Music Player often infiltrates systems without users’ permission.
Furthermore, this app continually gathers information regarding users' web browsing activity and delivers various intrusive online advertisements. For these reasons, Music Player is classed as adware.
Following infiltration, Music Player begins recording Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (to determine geographic location), website URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, and other similar information, which is shared with third parties. Collected data might contain private details that third parties misuse to generate revenue.
Thus, the presence of an information-tracking application such as Music Player on your system can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. Another downside is the display of intrusive online advertisements.
Music Player delivers pop-up, coupon, banner, and other similar ads using a 'virtual layer' - a tool that enables placement of third party graphical content on any site. None of these ads originate from users' visited website and conceal underlying content, thus significantly diminishing the web browsing experience.
In addition, some are likely to lead to malicious websites containing infectious content - clicking them risks further adware or malware infections. In conclusion, Music Player is a potential threat to your privacy and Internet browsing safety. Therefore, you should eliminate this adware from your computer immediately.
There are hundreds of adware-type applications that also falsely claim to provide a number of 'valuable features'. Neither Music Player, nor apps such as ArcadeLoot, TapBreaker, Light Manager, etc. actually provide the functionality promised. Research shows that adware is designed only to generate revenue for the developers.
Claims to enable useful functions are simply attempts to trick users to install. These adware-type applications simply cause unwanted browser redirects, collect personal data, and deliver intrusive content-concealing advertisements.
How did Music Player install on my computer?
Music Player has an official download website, however, this app is also distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of PUPs with regular programs). Therefore, many users install Music Player inadvertently, since they do not express enough caution when downloading and installing software.
Aware of this, developers intentionally conceal Music Player and other similar PUPs within the 'Custom/Advanced' settings of these procedures. Skipping this section often leads to inadvertent installation of bogus programs.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
There are two main steps you should take to prevent this situation. Firstly, closely analyze each step of the download and installation processes - PUPs are often distributed using the bundling method and, therefore, these procedures should never be rushed.
Secondly, decline all offers to download/install additional programs and cancel those already included. Bundled software is mostly dubious and, therefore, should never be installed.
