What is Inbox.com?

The Inbox.com browser hijacker infiltrates Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) through free software downloads. After successful installation, this adware modifies browser settings by assigning the homepage and default search engine fields to inbox.com

Furthermore, this browser hijacker prevents users from rolling back these changes by using a deceptive browser helper object called 'Inbox Toolbar'.

While the developers of this browser add-on claim that it makes Internet browsing more productive by providing users with quick Internet searches and easy access to social networking sites, in fact, Inbox Toolbar is useless plugin and categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application.
