What is Turkish (UYARI) ransomware?

Turkish (UYARI) is ransomware-type malware based on HiddenTear. After system infiltration, Turkish (UYARI) encrypts files using asymmetric AES-256 cryptography. The name of each encrypted file is appended with the ".locked" extension. Following successful encryption, this ransomware creates an HTML file (named "DOSYALARINIZA ULAŞMAK İCİN Aciniz.html") and places it on the desktop.

.Xyz is a new variant of Jigsaw ransomware. Following infiltration, this ransomware encrypts various files stored on victims' computers.

This is achieved using asymmetric cryptography. During encryption, this ransomware appends the name of each encrypted file with a ".xyz" extension and, thus, it is easy to determine which files are compromised.
