What is Deal Maverick?
Developed by SuperWeb LLC, Deal Maverick is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) claiming to improve the Internet browsing experience by displaying coupons, enabling comparison shopping, and other similar features
"We're passionate about improving web by providing the best tools to enhance the browsing experience, from searching the web to comparing online deals to find the best prices. We've combined all of our great ideas into the Deal Maverick product suite, a FREE set of tools that work to make your browsing experience... better!"
This functionality might seem legitimate and useful, however, Deal Maverick is categorized as adware and a PUP. After stealthily infiltrating Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, this rogue program generates intrusive online ads and monitors users' Internet browsing activity.
The types of advertisements generated by Deal Maverick include search, pop-up, banner, interstitial, transitional, full-page, and coupon ads. None originate from the visited websites, conceal underlying content, and diminish the Internet browsing experience.
Most of these advertisements redirect to websites offering certain services or sell merchandise, however, they might also redirect to bogus sites - thus, clicking them can lead to further high-risk computer infections.
Users' Internet browsing activity is continually tracked, since Deal Maverick gathers various user/system information including Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (to determine geographic locations), unique identifier numbers, website URLs visited, search queries entered into search engines (Bing, Yahoo, Google, etc.), and pages viewed.
These details might seem insignificant, however, they will contain personally identifiable details that are later shared with third parties and can be misused to generate revenue. Thus, having Deal Maverick installed on your system can lead to various privacy issues or even identity theft. If you are worried about your privacy and Internet browsing safety, uninstall Deal Maverick immediately.

As well as Deal Maverick, SuperWeb LLC has released over one hundred identical PUPs including Treasure Track, Catered to You, and Results Hub - these are just some examples from a long list.
