What is Wander Burst?

Wander Burst is a deceptive browser extension claiming to improve the Internet browsing experience by enabling various functionality

On initial inspection, this add-on may appear legitimate and useful, however, Wander Burst is categorized as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP). This bogus plug-in infiltrates Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox without users' consent. It then displays intrusive online advertisements and tracks Internet browsing activity.

Wander Burst employs a virtual layer to display search, pop-up, banner, interstitial, transitional, full-page, and other similar ads. Some of these ads open new browser tabs/windows, thereby increasing the chance of accidental user clicks.
