Swift Record Ads

What is Swift Record?
Developed by SuperWeb LLC, the Swift Record rogue browser add-on claims to improve the Internet browsing experience by enabling various functionality such as coupons and comparison shopping. Although this extension may seem useful, be aware that it is considered to be adware or a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
These associations are made due to a deceptive free software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional programs together with the chosen software) employed by the developers to distribute Swift Record.
This browser plug-in infiltrates Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox and then generates intrusive online advertisements (interstitial, transitional, pop-up, search, etc.) that often lead to rogue websites containing infectious content.
Furthermore, this PUP records various user-information such as unique identifier numbers, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, websites visited, search queries entered into search engines, pages viewed, and other data. It is highly probable that this collected information will be personally identifiable and cause serious privacy issues or identity theft.
SuperWeb LLC has released over two hundred rogue add-ons identical to Swift Record. For example: Between Lines, Pine Tree, Special Box, and Air Globe. These add-ons are proliferated under different names to avoid detection by legitimate anti-spyware and anti-virus suites.
Neither Swift Record, nor any other applications released by SuperWeb LLC, are useful to the user - their purpose is to generate revenue by the display of ads and sharing collected data with third parties. You are strongly advised to eliminate Swift Record from your system immediately.
Most popular freeware download websites (including download.com, softonic.com, and soft32.com) employ small download programs (called 'installers', 'download managers', 'download clients', etc.) to monetize their free services and traffic by offering installation of additional applications together with the chosen software.
These applications are said to be '100% legitimate and virus-free', however, careless download and installation of freeware often infects computer systems with adware or malware. To avoid this situation, express caution when downloading free software and ensure that no additional programs are included.
Furthermore, use the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' options during installation of downloaded software - this will reveal any concealed applications listed for installation and allow you to opt-out. If you have installed Swift Record, the following guide will help you to eliminate this adware infection from your system.
