BrowsrPlus Ads

What is BrowsrPlus?
BrowsrPlus claims to be a legitimate browser plug-in designed to save time and money while shopping online. Although this functionality may seem legitimate and useful, BrowsrPlus is classed as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
A deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' is used in distribution of this adware - this is one of the reasons for these negative associations. Bundling is used to stealthily distribute (mostly rogue) applications along with regular software. Users often install this browser plug-in inadvertently with free software downloaded from freeware download websites.
After BrowsrPlus infiltrates Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome, various intrusive online advertisements are displayed including banner, pop-up, transitional, coupon, price comparison, and in-text ads. While these ads may seem harmless, they often redirect to dubious websites containing infectious content, thereby causing high-risk computer infections.
Once installed, BrowsrPlus continually monitors users' Internet browsing activity and collects various information including (but not limited to) Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, websites visited, and pages viewed.
Some of this recorded information might be personally identifiable, and therefore, having this type of application installed on your system can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. BrowsrPlus is similar or identical to other regular adware apps distributed using the bundling method.
Applications such as PriceLess, OffersWizard, and Price Less also offer features to save time and money when shopping online, however, BrowsrPlus and these other applications are developed simply to generate revenue by displaying intrusive online ads and by sharing collected data with third parties.
None provide any real value to the user. For these reasons, you are strongly advised to uninstall BrowsrPlus from your system immediately.
Many users are unaware that most popular freeware download websites employ small download programs (called 'installers', 'download managers', 'download clients', 'download tools', etc.) as traffic and free service monetization tools. These small programs offer installation of third party applications together with the chosen software.
Although these apps are described as '100% legitimate', reckless download and installation often results in adware or malware infections. To avoid this situation, take a few simple steps. Pay close attention when downloading free software and cancel all bundled applications.
Furthermore, apps downloaded from the Internet should be installed using the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' options - this will reveal any concealed programs listed for installation and allow you to opt-out. The following guide will help you to uninstall BrowsrPlus adware from your system.
