What is Mountain Bike?

Mountain Bike is a rogue browser extension created by SuperWeb LLC. This plug-in claims to enhance the Internet browsing experience by enabling comparison shopping, coupons, and other features.

On initial inspection, this functionality may seem legitimate and useful, however, be aware that Mountain Bike is considered to be adware or a potentially unwanted program (PUP), since it employs a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional programs together with the chosen software) to install on Internet browsers without users' consent.

Following successful infiltration on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, Mountain Bike generates intrusive online advertisements such as banner, pop-up, interstitial, transitional, coupon, search, full-page, and other ads that may lead to high-risk adware or malware infections.

Furthermore, Mountain Bike continually monitors users' Internet browsing activity by recording various software and hardware information that may be personally identifiable. Optional method:
