Ads by Easy Deals

What is Easy Deals?
Created by Adassistent, Easy Deals is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) claiming to save time and money by enabling coupons, comparison shopping, and displaying special deals/discounts available with online stores such as eBay, Walmart, Amazon, etc.
Although this functionality may seem legitimate and useful, be aware that Easy Deals is considered to be adware. These associations are made due to a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' employed by Easy Deals to install on Internet browsers.
Bundling is a way to stealthily distribute applications together with other software, and for this reason, most users inadvertently install this PUP when downloading free software from freeware download websites.
Following successful infiltration on Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome, Easy Deals generates intrusive online advertisements and tracks users' Internet browsing activity.
Advertisements generated by Easy Deals include banner, coupon, comparison shopping, pop-up/under, and sponsored link ads. There is a high probability that clicking these advertisements will lead to high-risk adware or malware infections.
Furthermore, this rogue browser add-on continually monitors users' Internet browsing activity by collecting various information such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, geographic locations, application numbers, referring pages, cookies, website URLs visited, pages viewed, browser information, and other details that may be personally identifiable.
This information tracking can lead to serious privacy issues or identity theft, and therefore, you are strongly advised to uninstall Easy Deals from your Internet browsers.
Easy Deals is similar to other poorly-programmed browser extensions that use bundling as an installation method. Some examples include SmartSaver, All Day Savings, Coupon Monkey, BaseFlash, and Savings Avenger among many others. None of these rogue browser add-ons provide any value for the user.
In fact, they deliver intrusive online ads, diminish browser performance, and track users' Internet browsing activity with the intention to generate revenue. Research shows that most adware is distributed via small programs called 'download clients' on freeware download websites such as download.com, softonic.com, and soft32.com.
Download clients are used to monetize these websites' free services and traffic by offering installation of promoted (according to the developers, '100% legitimate and virus-free') browser plug-ins together with the chosen free software. Thus, reckless download and installation of freeware often results in adware or malware infections.
To avoid installation of Easy Deals, or other similar PUPs, pay close attention during the download of free software and decline any offers to install additional applications.
Furthermore, all software downloaded from the Internet should be installed using the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical' - this will reveal any bundled applications listed for installation and allow you to decline them.
If you feel that Easy Deals was installed without your consent, and you experience intrusive online ads while surfing the Internet, read the provided removal instructions to eliminate this adware from your Internet browsers.
