Browse Pax Ads

What is Browse Pax?
Developed by SuperWeb LLC, Browse Pax is a rogue browse add-on claiming to improve the Internet browsing experience by enabling coupons, comparison shopping, and adding other useful functionality. This potentially unwanted application is compatible with Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome.
Although this may seem a legitimate browser plug-in, it is categorized as adware. The Browse Pax plugin uses a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' to install on Internet browsers without users' consent.
Following successful infiltration, Browse Pax continually monitors users' Internet browsing activity by recording various hardware and software information including IP addresses, unique identifier numbers, URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, and other similar information.
In addition, it generates various intrusive online advertisements including interstitial, transitional, search, banner, text-link, and full page ads.
The presence of Browse Pax, or other similar adware, on your system may lead to serious privacy issues, identity theft, or malware infections. There are many rogue browser add-ons developed by SuperWeb LLC identical to Browse Pax such as, for example, Bellaphant, Fortunitas, and Norpalla.
This company intentionally releases identical browser extensions under different names to avoid detection by legitimate anti-spyware and anti-virus programs. Neither Browse Pax, nor any of these other add-ons, provide any real value for the user. Their purpose is to generate income by the display of intrusive online advertisements.
Research results shows that potentially unwanted applications are commonly distributed via 'download clients' within freeware download websites.
Most current freeware download websites, such as download.com, softonic.com, soft32.com, and many others, use these small programs to monetize their free services by offering installation of advertised browser extensions together with the chosen software.
Thus, careless download and installation of freeware may lead to adware or malware infections. To prevent installation of Browse Pax, or other similar adware, pay close attention when downloading freeware and never accept installation of additional applications.
During installation of downloaded software, choose the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical' - this will reveal any bundled applications listed for installation, and you will be able to opt-out.
Users who have already installed Browse Pax and observe "Browse Pax Deals", "Ads by Browse Pax", and "Powered by Browse Pax" advertisements when browsing the Internet, should follow this removal guide to eliminate Browse Pax adware from their Internet browsers.
