ArcadeParlor Ads

What is ArcadeParlor?
The ArcadeParlor browser add-on allows users to access premium Flash games. This plugin is compatible with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox.
Whilst ArcadeParlor is not technically a virus or malware, this browser extension is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application since it installs on users' Internet browsers without their consent when downloading and installing free software. The developers of this add-on (EpicPlay LLC) use a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling'.
After successful infiltration, this adware generates unwanted ads (text link, popup/under, transitional, in-image, and banner advertisements), and moreover, tracks Internet browsing activity by recording IP addresses and HTML information relating to the content of web pages visited by the user.
Clicking on third party ads generated by ArcadeParlor can lead to serious malware infections, and since this plugin tracks users' Internet browsing activity, can also lead to privacy issues and identity theft.
Computer users should be aware that, today, most freeware download websites use deceptive 'download clients' offering installation of advertised browser plug-ins together with the chosen free program, thus, reckless freeware downloading can result in installation of ArcadeParlor or other adware.
ArcadeParlor is similar to other potentially unwanted programs (PUPs), which infiltrate users' Internet browsers through free software downloads. Examples include Shopop, BringStar, and Site Finder. To avoid installation of intrusive ads-generating plug-ins, users should express caution when downloading and installing free software.
If your download is managed by a download client, inspect each download step and opt-out of installation of advertised browser extensions.
When installing downloaded free software, use the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical' - this will reveal installation of any bundled adware. Computer users who observe ads generated by ArcadeParlor when browsing the Internet should use this removal guide to eliminate adware from their Internet browser/s.
