How to uninstall the Email Pro Hub unwanted application
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is Email Pro Hub?
Email Pro Hub hijacks browsers by changing certain settings to hemailprohub.com, the address of a fake search engine. Apps of this type often collect details relating to users' browsing activity (browsing data). People often download and install browser hijackers inadvertently and, for this reason, they are categorized as potentially unwanted applications (PUAs).
hemailprohub.com is classified as a fake search engine because it redirects users to bing.com. I.e., it displays results generated by Bing, a legitimate search engine.
Email Pro Hub promotes this fake search engine by assigning its address as the homepage, default search engine and new tab URL so that users are forced to visit it when they open a browser, enter search queries into the URL bar, or open a new tab. Generally, browser hijackers prevent settings from being modified as long as they are installed.
Therefore, hemailprohub.com can only be removed from browser settings when Email Pro Hub is no longer installed on the browser. This app is also installed on the operating system and should be removed from it accordingly. Furthermore, browser hijackers generate revenue for the developers by collecting data.
For example, geolocations, entered search queries, addresses of visited websites, IP addresses, etc. In some cases, they record personal, sensitive data as well. The information is misused to generate revenue by selling it to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) or in other ways.
Users who have browsers hijacked by PUAs such as Email Pro Hub may thus become victims of identity theft, experience issues relating to online privacy, browsing safety, and other issues. Therefore, remove PUAs from browsers and computers immediately.

There are numerous browser hijackers on the web. Most change browser settings (promote fake search engines) and can track information.
They are advertised as providing quick links to popular websites, including various features, improving the browsing experience and are supposedly useful in other ways. In fact, browser hijackers are useless and cause serious issues. More examples of apps similar to Email Pro Hub are Streaming Lab Tab, Now News Online and MyNewsFree.
How did Email Pro Hub install on my computer?
Users often download and install PUAs together with other programs when they are included into the download/installation set-ups as 'additional offers'. This potentially unwanted software distribution method is called "bundling". Unwanted downloads and installations happen when users fail to check and change settings that are available in the set-ups.
They should decline offers to download or install additionally-included apps. Generally, such offers can be found (and declined) in "Advanced", "Custom", and other similar settings of the set-ups. In some cases, unwanted downloads and installations are caused by clicking deceptive advertisements that execute certain scripts.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
It is not safe to download software/files from unofficial websites, through torrent clients, eMule (or other Peer-to-Peer networks), third party downloaders, and so on. The same applies to installations via third party installers. Software and files should be downloaded only via direct links and from official pages.
Check all "Custom" and "Advanced" settings that are included in the set-ups of programs, especially if they are free. Decline any offers to download or install unwanted apps. Intrusive ads can cause unwanted downloads/installations and open dubious pages, and should therefore not be clicked.
Remove any suspicious extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins installed on the browser. The same should be applied to programs of this kind that are installed on the operating system. If your computer is already infected with Email Pro Hub, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate this browser hijacker.
