Remove apps designed to promote rministencew.club and similar sites

What is rministencew[.]club?
When visited, rministencew[.]club opens other bogus websites or loads dubious content. There are many websites similar to rministencew[.]club online.
Some examples are news-back[.]best, sombes[.]com and cooperativasantamargherita[.]com. In most cases, users do not visit these sites intentionally - they are opened by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) installed on the system. They can also be opened through deceptive ads or other dubious sites.
Typically, PUAs open websites such as rministencew[.]club in a new browser window or tab. When visited, they display dubious content or open about two or three other web pages of this kind - these actions depend on visitors' geolocations. Commonly, the pages attempt to trick visitors into giving them permission to show notifications using 'clickbait' techniques.
This particular site claims that visitors can continue loading it by clicking the "Allow" button. Typically, when pages such as rministencew[.]club are able to show notifications, they feed users with notifications that contain links to other untrusted pages, deceptive advertisements, etc.
Note that PUAs often collect data and display ads as well. Generally, they target details such as IP addresses, geolocations, addresses of visited websites, entered search queries, etc. Some PUAs can be designed to access private, sensitive details. The data is misused to generate revenue by selling it to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals), or in other ways.
This can lead to problems relating to browsing safety, online privacy or even identity theft. PUAs also serve intrusive advertisements (e.g., pop-ups, coupons, banners, surveys). When clicked, these open dubious web pages or even execute scripts designed to cause download/installation of unwanted software.
Therefore, if a PUA is already installed on the browser and/or operating system, eliminate it immediately.

PUAs are advertised as legitimate applications that supposedly include various features, improve the browsing experience, and are useful in other ways, however, most open dubious pages, display advertisements and collect data. They deliver no value and can cause serious problems. As mentioned, users tend to download and install PUAs inadvertently.
How did adware install on my computer?
In most cases, PUAs are distributed using a method called "bundling". I.e., by including them into the download/installation set-ups of other programs.
Typically, users can find information about these additionally-included apps in "Custom", "Advanced" or other settings, however, they often do not check and change these settings, and fail to decline offers to download and install additional apps. Unwanted downloads and installations can also be caused by clicking deceptive ads that execute certain scripts.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
Third party downloaders, installers, Peer-to-Peer networks (e.g, torrent clients, eMule), unofficial pages, and other similar download/installation tools are often used to distribute PUAs and malicious apps. Therefore, use only official websites and direct links.
Checking all "Advanced", "Custom" and other settings and decline offers to download or install additional, unwanted software. Do not click advertisements that are displayed on dubious web pages, since they can open untrusted websites and cause unwanted downloads/installations.
Remove all suspicious extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins installed on the browser immediately. Also remove software of this kind installed on the computer. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
