How to remove redirects to and from rdsb2.club
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is rdsb2[.]club?
Sharing many similarities with hesterinoc.info, cicort.com, overiesarticu.info and countless others, rdsb2[.]club is a rogue website. It presents visitors with dubious content and/or redirects them to other untrusted, deceptive or malicious pages.
Typically, users access rdsb2[.]club and similar sites through redirects caused by intrusive advertisements or Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs). Note that these apps do not need explicit permission to infiltrate systems. PUAs cause redirects, run intrusive ad campaigns and track browsing-related data.
Whether visitors to rdsb2[.]club are presented with dubious material and/or are redirected elsewhere depends on their geolocations. This web page learns this information by inferring it from users' IP addresses. Additionally, rdsb2[.]club uses browser notifications.
It attempts to trick visitors into allowing these notifications by displaying 'clickbait' ("Click 'Allow' To Download"), however, if enabled rdsb2[.]club begins delivering intrusive ad campaigns. When clicked, these ads redirect to untrusted/rogue, sale-based, compromised, deceptive/scam and malicious websites.
Some intrusive ads can even be triggered (when clicked) to execute scripts to stealthily download/install rogue software. A prime example of content infiltrated into systems in this manner are PUAs. These unwanted applications can force-open similarly dangerous sites and run intrusive advertisement campaigns.
Furthermore, most PUAs have data tracking capabilities. They can monitor browsing activity (URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries typed, etc.) and collect personal information (IP addresses, geolocations and other details). This sensitive data is often shared with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) seeking to misuse it for profit.
To summarize, the presence of PUAs on systems can lead to infiltration and infections, serious privacy issues, financial loss and even identity theft. Therefore, you are strongly advised to immediately remove all suspicious applications and browser extensions/plug-ins.

Symptoms | Seeing advertisements not originating from the sites you are browsing. Intrusive pop-up ads. Decreased internet browsing speed. |
Distribution Methods | Deceptive pop-up ads, potentially unwanted applications (adware). |
Damage | Decreased computer performance, browser tracking - privacy issues, possible additional malware infections. |

PUAs usually seem legitimate and useful. People are often tempted into download/installation with offers of various useful functions, however, the advertised features are rarely operational. The only purpose of these unwanted apps is to generate revenue for the developers.
They are useless and can also cause serious issues. Rather than delivering any real value, PUAs force-open untrusted and malicious websites, run intrusive advertisement campaigns and gather private data.
How did adware install on my computer?
PUAs are unintentionally downloaded/installed with other software. This deceptive marketing technique of pre-packing regular products with unwanted or malicious additions is called "bundling". Rushing download and installation processes (e.g. skimming or ignoring terms, skipping steps and sections, etc.) increases the risk of unintentionally allowing bundled content onto devices.
Some PUAs have "official" download sites. Intrusive advertisements can infiltrate these applications into systems as well. When clicked, they can execute scripts to stealthily download/install PUAs.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
You are strongly advised to research all products before download/installation. Use only official and trustworthy download sources. Unofficial and free file-hosting websites, Peer-to-Peer sharing networks and other third party downloaders are untrusted and can offer deceptive and/or bundled content.
When downloading/installing, read the terms, study all possible options, use the "Custom/Advanced" settings and opt-out of additional apps, tools, functions, etc. Intrusive ads tend to seem normal and harmless, however, they can redirect to dubious web pages (e.g. pornography, adult-dating, gambling and others).
If you encounter these ads/redirects, check the system and immediately remove all suspect applications and browser extensions/plug-ins. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
