Stop getting redirected to and from equirerecial.info

What is equirerecial[.]info?
Equirerecial[.]info is an untrustworthy, rogue website. It shares common qualities with invod.pro, wwserch42.biz, localmylife.info and countless others. This page is designed to generate redirects and present users with highly questionable content.
Most visitors to equirerecial[.]info enter it inadvertently, they get redirected by intrusive ads or by PUAs (Potentially Unwanted Applications), already infiltrated into the system. Users should note that these apps do not need express permission to be installed onto devices.
After successful infiltration, PUAs cause redirects, run intrusive advertisement campaigns and track browsing-related information.
Firstly, equirerecial[.]info checks visitors' IP addresses in order to learn their geolocations. This data is key to determining its further course of action. Lastly, depending on their geolocation, users are either presented with dubious material and/or are redirected elsewhere.
This rogue site also uses browser notifications, the consent option to which it hides underneath clickbait ("Please tap Allow button to continue"), implying that to access equirerecial[.]info - users need to enable its notifications. If they are allowed, the webpage then begins running intrusive advertisement campaigns.
Adverts of this type are more than just a mere annoyance. They are deemed to be a safety threat, due to the dangerous websites they redirect to and for their ability to execute scripts, designed to stealthily download/install PUAs. As mentioned, these applications can cause redirects to sale-based, untrustworthy, compromised, deceptive/scam and malicious sites.
They can deliver intrusive ads as well. Advertisements delivered by unwanted apps posses the aforementioned abilities and carry associated risks. They also diminish browsing quality by limiting browsing speed and website visibility (by overlaying page content).
It is not uncommon for PUAs to have data tracking abilities, which they employ to record users' browsing habits (URLs visited, webpages viewed, search queries typed, etc.) and collect their personal information (IP addresses, geolocations and personal details).
This private data can then be shared with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals), intent on misusing it for financial gain.
Therefore, PUAs can not only cause browser and system infiltrations and infections, but lead to severe privacy issues, financial losses and even identity theft. To ensure device and user safety, it is recommended to immediately remove all suspect applications and browser extensions/plug-ins.

PUAs tend to look legitimate, they tempt users into downloading/installing them with a wide variety of features/functions. However, despite how good these offers may sound, the advertised features are usually nonoperational. The only goal of all unwanted apps is to generate revenue for their developers; they have no genuine value to users.
Instead of operating as promised, PUAs force-open untrustworthy and malicious pages, run intrusive advertisement campaigns and gather sensitive data.
How did adware install on my computer?
The most common mode of PUA proliferation is via download/install setups of other programs. This false marketing technique of pre-packing regular software with unwanted or malicious content is called bundling.
By rushing through download/installation processes (e.g. by ignoring terms, using presets, skipping steps and sections, etc.) - users endanger devices with potential system infiltrations and infections. Select apps under this category have "official" download webpages, where they are often promoted as "handy" and "free" products.
When clicked on, intrusive adverts can execute scripts to download/install PUAs without user consent.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
It is recommended to research content, prior to downloading/installing it. Only official and verified download channels should be used. It is ill-advised to use P2P sharing networks (BitTorrent, eMule, Gnutella, etc.), unofficial and free file-hosting websites, third party downloaders and similar sources - as they are considered to be untrustworthy.
Unreliable download channels are far more likely to offer deceptive and/or bundled software. Download/Installation processes should be approached with caution. Therefore, it is important to read terms, study all available options, use the "Custom/Advanced" settings and opt-out from additional apps, tools, features and so on.
Intrusive ads typically appear legitimate and harmless, however they redirect to unreliable and dubious sites (e.g. pornography, adult-dating, gambling and others).
Should users experience such advertisements/redirects, they are strongly advised to inspect the system and remove all suspicious applications and/or browser extensions/plug-ins without delay. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
