Pushnews.online POP-UP Ads

What is pushnews[.]online?
Virtually identical to watch-this[.]live, enheprenropher[.]info, havenotifyfriends[.]info, and many others, pushnews[.]online is a rogue website that redirects visitors to other untrustworthy, deceptive sites. Generally, this page is visited by users inadvertently - they are redirected to it by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) installed on their systems.
People often install PUAs unintentionally. They then deliver advertisements and gather data.
When installed, a PUA opens pushnews[.]online in a new browser window or tab. This page then causes even more redirects (usually 2-3) to other dubious websites or displays dubious content. These actions depend on the visitor's location. The websites opened by pushnews[.]online might contain malicious content and cause computer infections.
Generally, PUAs deploy intrusive advertisements (banners, coupons, surveys, pop-ups) via tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site. These unwanted ads conceal underlying content of visited websites, significantly diminishing the browsing experience.
Furthermore, if clicked, they open dubious websites or run scripts that download and install other unwanted software. PUAs often collect user-system information including IP addresses, URLs of visited websites, search queries, geolocations, and so on. Some of the collected data might contain personal details.
Developers share all collected data with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse it to generate revenue. In summary, if installed, PUAs can cause privacy issues, problems with browsing safety, or even identity theft. We recommend that you uninstall all PUAs immediately.

PUAs developers commonly offer 'useful' features and tools to lend legitimacy to their rogue software, however, most of these apps deliver no real value and are used only generate revenue by causing unwanted redirects, serving ads, and collecting information.
How did adware install on my computer?
Many users cause unintentional downloads and installations via intrusive ads that they willingly or accidentally click, or when downloading/installing other software that includes bundled apps. Bundling is a deceptive marketing method used to trick people into downloading and installing unwanted apps with regular software.
Developers do not disclose information about the inclusion of unwanted apps with other software setups - they hide it in "Custom", "Advanced", and other similar sections. People who leave settings unchecked and unchanged often cause unwanted downloads and installations.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Do not use third party software downloaders, torrent clients, eMule, and other Peer-to-Peer networks, dubious pages, and so on. The safest way to download is from official websites. Check "Custom", "Advanced" and other settings/options during the download/installation process and dismiss offers to download and install additionally-included apps.
Many ads run scripts designed to download and install PUAs or to cause redirects to untrustworthy websites. Intrusive ads displayed on dubious websites (relating to gambling, adult dating, pornography, and so on) should not be clicked.
If unwanted ads and redirects are a frequent problem when browsing the web, check your browser for unwanted, suspicious extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins, and uninstall them immediately. The same applies to unwanted programs installed on the operating system.
If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
