What is blpsearch.com?
blpsearch.com is just another fake search engine that supposedly allows users to search, listen, and find artists, music and albums directly from the browser. Judging by appearance, this site may seem to be a legitimate and useful search engine, however, it is promoted using a potentially unwanted application (PUA), a browser hijacker called Search4Musix.
Most users install browser hijackers inadvertently. Once Search4Musix is installed, it modifies browser settings and collects browsing-related data (blpsearch.com also collects data).
Search4Musix can be installed on Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and makes certain changes to any affected browser. Typically, browser hijackers change the default homepage, new tab URLs, and search engine. In this case, these options are changed to blpsearch.com.
These assigned settings cannot be reverted, since Search4Musix prevents users from changing them. Therefore users are forced to visit blpsearch.com, each time they open a browser or new tab. Furthermore, when a search query is entered into this fake search engine, it redirects users to search.yahoo.com (a legitimate Yahoo search engine).
Therefore, blpsearch.com is useless. Furthermore, potentially unwanted applications such as Search4Musix and fake search engines such as blpsearch.com often record user-system information relating to browsing activity. Gathered data usually contains keystrokes, IP addresses, geo-locations, URLs of visited websites, search queries, and so on.

Most browser hijackers (and associated search engines) are promoted as 'useful tools'. In this way, developers attempt to trick users into installing these apps to generate revenue from them. Search4Musix has a promotion website from which it can be downloaded, however, users mostly install these PUAs unintentionally. Software developers often trick users into installing PUAs using a deceptive marketing method called "bundling" and by not disclosing information about bundled apps properly.
They hide them in "Custom", "Advanced", and other similar settings/options of the installation processes. Users are easily tricked into installing PUAs if they do not check settings or skip steps. The developers use this careless behaviour to their advantage.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Download software from trustworthy and official sources/websites. Do not use third party software downloaders, installers, torrents, or other similar software. Windows 11 users:
Right-click on the Start icon, select Apps and Features. In the opened window search for the application you want to uninstall, after locating it, click on the three vertical dots and select Uninstall.
Windows 10 users:

Change your default search engine:
To change your default search engine in Google Chrome: Click the Chrome menu icon (at the top right corner of Google Chrome), select "Settings", in the "Search engine" section, click "Manage search engines...", in the opened list, look for "blpsearch.com", and when located, click the three vertical dots near this URL and select "Remove from list".
Optional method:
If you continue to have problems with removal of the search4musix potentially unwanted application, reset your Google Chrome browser settings. In the search filter at the top, type: "blpsearch.com"
Right-click on the found preferences and select "Reset" to restore default values.
Optional method:
Computer users who have problems with search4musix potentially unwanted application removal can reset their Mozilla Firefox settings.

In the opened window select all history and click the Clear History button.
Remove malicious extensions from Microsoft Edge:
Click the Edge menu icon 
(at the top right corner of Microsoft Edge), select "Extensions". Locate any recently-installed suspicious browser add-ons, and remove them.
Change your homepage and new tab settings:
Click the Edge menu icon (at the top right corner of Microsoft Edge), select "Settings". In the "On startup" section look for the name of the browser hijacker and click "Disable".
Change your default Internet search engine:
To change your default search engine in Microsoft Edge: Click the Edge menu icon (at the top right corner of Microsoft Edge), select "Privacy and services", scroll to bottom of the page and select "Address bar". In the "Search engines used in address bar" section look for the name of the unwanted Internet search engine, when located click the "Disable" button near it. Alternatively you can click on "Manage search engines", in the opened menu look for unwanted Internet search engine. Click on the puzzle icon 
near it and select "Disable".
Optional method:
If you continue to have problems with removal of the search4musix potentially unwanted application, reset your Microsoft Edge browser settings. Click the Edge menu icon (at the top right corner of Microsoft Edge) and select Settings.
In the opened settings menu select Reset settings.
Select Restore settings to their default values. In the opened window, confirm that you wish to reset Microsoft Edge settings to default by clicking the Reset button.
