Offerzone.click POP-UP Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is offerzone.click?
Similar or identical to wpformb.com, shalledinition.club, click-on-this-now.online and many more, offerzone.click is a rogue website that, once visited, causes redirects to other untrustworthy sites. Most users arrive at offerzone.click unintentionally - they are redirected by potentially unwanted programs (PUPs).
These redirects can also be caused by intrusive ads. PUPs usually infiltrate systems without users' consent and, in addition to unwanted redirects, deliver various intrusive ads and collect personal data.
Once a potentially unwanted program is installed, it opens new browser windows or tabs and redirects users to offerzone.click, which then redirects to several (typically 2-3) other suspicious/potentially malicious sites. It is very likely that one of these websites will contain malicious content. Therefore, visiting them could result in high-risk computer infections.
Furthermore, PUPs deliver intrusive ads that are usually displayed via tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any visited website. When clicked, these annoying ads (coupons, banners, surveys, pop-ups, etc.) redirect users to dubious and potentially malicious websites.
Some can start scripts that download and install potentially unwanted programs that might also be malicious. Most potentially unwanted programs collect user data, including IP addresses, search queries, keystrokes, visited websites, geo-locations, etc. Some of the data might contain personal/personally identifiable or sensitive information.
Later, this data is shared with third parties (potentially cyber criminals) and used to generate revenue. These actions can lead to privacy issues, browsing safety problems, and even and identity theft. Some PUPs misuse computer resources (reducing performance). You are strongly advised to uninstall potentially unwanted programs immediately.

There are countless potentially unwanted programs available, most of which share an identical purpose: to generate revenue by collecting and sharing data, delivering advertisements, and causing redirects. Most are promoted as 'useful tools' with various features, however, few deliver the functionality promised or give any real value for regular users.
How did adware install on my computer?
There are two common ways for potentially unwanted program of this type to be installed: through intrusive advertisements and together with other software. The so-called "bundling" method is used to stealthily install third party apps (PUPs) with other regular software.
In most cases, these PUPs are hidden in "Custom", "Advanced", "Manual", and other similar options of the installation processes.
In summary, these installations are not properly disclosed, and users who tend to skip installation steps without studying them are most likely to install their chosen software together with PUPs. This behaviour often leads to unintentional installation of PUPs and risk of infection.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Pay attention when browsing the Internet and installing or downloading software (especially free software). Bear in mind that developers invest many resources into ad design - the ads may seem legitimate, but could redirect to unwanted/untrustworthy websites.
If you encounter these ads, immediately check the list of installed applications/browser plug-ins, add-ons, and extensions and remove any suspicious entries. Avoid downloading software from unofficial websites or using third party software downloaders/installers.
Use only direct links from official sites. Check all available "Custom", "Advanced", and other settings/options of the installation processes and opt-out of unwanted software that is offered as an extra feature or useful tool.
Only then finish the installation. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
