Shalledinition.club POP-UP Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is shalledinition.club?
shalledinition.club is a rogue website designed to cause redirects to other untrustworthy sites.
There are many other virtually identical websites of this type, including cgkreality.com, pushtrust.com, and pushglobe.com Users generally visit shalledinition.club unintentionally - they are redirected by potentially unwanted programs (also known as PUPs) that are installed without consent.
Most PUPs deliver intrusive ads, collect information, and affect computer performance by misusing resources.
Once installed, potentially unwanted program open new browser windows or tabs and redirect users to the shalledinition.club rogue website, which then opens additional (2-3) untrustworthy sites that might be malicious.
Visiting these websites can result in high-risk computer infections. Another downside of PUPs is information tracking - potentially unwanted programs collect user-system information, including IP addresses, search queries, keystrokes, visited websites, geo-locations, and so on.
There is a strong possibility that some of the collected information will contain sensitive or personally identifiable details. The data is often shared with third parties and used to generate revenue. Cyber criminals use the information to steal users' identities, thus causing privacy issues.
Furthermore, potentially unwanted programs deploy intrusive ads (coupons, banners, surveys, pop-ups, etc.) that are displayed using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site, thereby concealing underlying content.
Clicking these ads can result in redirects to potentially malicious websites or execution of scripts that download and install potentially unwanted programs.
As mentioned, some PUPs can trigger background tasks that could affect computer performance (slow systems down). For these reasons, we recommend that you uninstall all potentially unwanted programs immediately.

To summarize, potentially unwanted programs are designed only to generate revenue by collecting information, delivering intrusive ads, and causing unwanted redirects. Developers offer "useful" features, however, not all provide the functionality promised or give any real value for regular users.
How did adware install on my computer?
Potentially unwanted programs of this type can be downloaded from their official websites, however, they are usually installed through clicked ads (mentioned earlier) or via a deceptive marketing method called "bundling".
Bundling is stealth installation of third party programs (such as potentially unwanted programs) together with regular software that you download from the Internet. Developers hide bundled software (in this case, PUPs) in "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar settings/options of the installation processes and often do not disclose these installations properly.
Developers are aware that most users tend to skip installation steps without checking the settings/options, and they take advantage of this situation. This careless behaviour often leads to installation of potentially unwanted programs, and risks computer infection, privacy issues, and other similar problems.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Be cautious when downloading or installing software and browsing the web. Avoid downloading software through untrustworthy websites or using third party downloaders/installers and torrents. Third party downloaders are often monetized via the "bundling" method, and therefore these tools should not be used. Download software from official sources and using directs.
Do not skip installation steps without checking "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar options/settings of the installation process. Opt-out of all additionally-included programs and only then finish the installation.
Bear in mind that intrusive ads usually seem legitimate, but might lead to untrustworthy websites (such as gambling, adult dating, pornography, etc.) If you encounter these redirects, immediately close the website and check installed plug-ins, extensions, and add-ons on your browser, and programs on your and computer.
If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
