Click-view-and-buy.com POP-UP Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is click-view-and-buy.com?
click-view-and-buy.com (identical to videoommooth.com, limbotime.com, clckads.org, and others) is one of many rogue websites available on the Internet that cause unwanted redirects to untrustworthy websites.
Users often visit click-view-and-buy.com unintentionally - they are redirected by potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) that are installed inadvertently. Programs of this type also deliver intrusive advertisements, collect information and, in some cases, misuse computer resources.
Once installed, potentially unwanted programs open new browser tabs or windows and redirect to the click-view-and-buy.com rogue website, which then causes 2-3 additional redirects to other untrustworthy/dubious websites. There is high a probability that these sites websites will be malicious and cause high-risk computer infections.
PUPs tend to collect user information including IP addresses, visited websites, search queries, keystrokes, geo-locations, etc. The information might include sensitive or personally identifiable details that are shared with third parties and used to generate revenue.
It is possible that the collected information will be sent to cyber criminals and, thus, users might experience privacy issues or even identity theft.
Furthermore, potentially unwanted programs often deliver intrusive ads that can diminish the browsing experience, since they are displayed via tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site (and conceal underlying content).
Furthermore, clicking them risks redirection to other untrustworthy websites or even triggering execution of scripts that download and install potentially unwanted programs.
Some of these rogue programs might be malicious. Note also that some PUPs are able to run various background processes, thereby affecting computer performance. We strongly recommend that you uninstall any potentially unwanted programs of this type immediately.

Most potentially unwanted programs generate revenue by recording and sharing data, delivering advertisements, and causing unwanted redirects. Few PUPs deliver the functionality promised or give any other real value for users who have installed them.
How did adware install on my computer?
Developers offer download of potentially unwanted programs from their official websites, however, most are installed using other methods: intrusive advertisements and a deceptive marketing method called "bundling". Bundling is stealth installation of potentially unwanted programs with a regular software that users download from the Internet.
PUPs are often hidden in "Advanced"/"Custom and other similar settings/options of the installation processes. As a rule, information regarding installation of PUPs is not properly disclosed. Careless behaviour by many users often results in installation of potentially unwanted programs or other problems relating to browsing safety and privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
The key to safety is caution. Be cautious when downloading/installing software and browsing the web. Avoid downloading software (especially if it is free) from untrustworthy sources and using third party downloaders or torrents. Use official (and trustworthy) websites only.
Do not skip the software installation steps - check "Advanced", "Custom", "Manual" and other similar sections of the installation process. Opt-out (deselect) unwanted additional software or offers and only then finish the installation. Bear in mind that intrusive ads may seem legitimate, since developers (often, cyber criminals) invest time and money in their design.
Often, it is difficult to determine which might cause problems. If intrusive ads redirect you to dubious websites (such as gambling, pornography, adult dating, and similar), check your browser for any unwanted extensions, add-ons, or plug-ins installed. Also check for any suspicious programs installed on your computer.
Uninstall/remove suspicious entries immediately. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
