Kaseine.info POP-UP Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is kaseine.info?
kaseine.info is a rogue website virtually identical to datsadstrack.com, trkerrr.net, fixnnetwork.com and many others of this type that cause redirects to untrustworthy and potentially malicious websites.
In most cases, users visit kaseine.information inadvertently - they are redirected by potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) that are often installed without users' consent. PUPs are designed to cause redirects, deliver intrusive ads, and collect information.
Following infiltration, potentially unwanted programs open new browser windows/tabs and redirect users to the kaseine.information website, which then causes several (typically 2-3) other redirects to untrustworthy sites that might contain malicious content. These redirects can cause high-risk computer infections.
Furthermore, PUPs deploy intrusive ads (banners, coupons, pop-ups, surveys, etc.) delivered using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site. Once clicked, these ads redirect to dubious sites and some might even execute scripts that stealthily download or install malware or other potentially unwanted programs.
Furthermore, potentially unwanted programs tend to collect information such as search queries, visited websites, IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, geo-locations, and other details that are shared with third parties (potentially cyber criminals) to generate revenue. Information tracking can lead to privacy issues or even identity theft.
Furthermore, some potentially unwanted programs reduce computer performance by running various background tasks. Clearly, there are many reasons why you should not have these programs installed on your computer, and we thus recommend that you uninstall them immediately.

There are many potentially unwanted programs available, most of which are virtually identical - they offer "useful" tools, claim to be legitimate, generate revenue by delivering various advertisements, cause redirects, and in most cases, provide no real value for regular users.
How did adware install on my computer?
Potentially unwanted programs can be downloaded from their official websites, but most are installed using a deceptive marketing method called "bundling" or through intrusive ads that execute scripts designed to download and install software. Bundling is stealth installation of software (in this case, potentially unwanted programs) with a regular software.
Bundled software is usually hidden in "Custom", "Advanced" and other sections of the installation processes. These installations are often not properly disclosed. Furthermore, many users skip installation steps without deselecting unwanted offers - this is how potentially unwanted programs are installed and systems are exposed to various infections.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Download software using official and trustworthy sources, especially if it is free. It is not recommended to use third party software downloaders and torrents. There are many cases whereby downloaders use an identical bundling method to download and install software.
Analyze each installation step - check all available options and settings (such as "Custom", "Advanced", etc.). Look for checkboxes that are ticked by default and opt-out of unwanted offers/potentially unwanted software.
Avoid clicking on intrusive ads, since they usually redirect to dubious and/or malicious websites such as gambling, pornography, adult dating, and other similar sites. If you have accidentally clicked on an ad of this type, close the opened window or tab and check your browser plug-ins, extensions, and add-ons and remove suspicious entries.
Also check installed programs on your computer. Keep your antivirus software enabled at all times and ensure that you use an updated web browser. If your computer is already infected with kaseine.information, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate this adware.
