Eazydevlin.xyz POP-UP Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is eazydevlin.xyz?
Identical to fastcanary.com, beteim.com, ecoencomputer.com, and many others, eazydevlin.xyz is a rogue website that redirects visitors to other untrustworthy sites. As a rule, these redirects are caused by potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) that are installed without users' consent. PUPs deliver intrusive ads, record information, and misuse computer resources.
Following infiltration, potentially unwanted programs open web browser windows and/or tabs and redirect users to the eazydevlin.xyz rogue website. This site then causes even more redirects to other untrustworthy websites, usually 2-3. There is a high probability that one of these websites will contain malicious content and could potentially infect your computer.
Furthermore, potentially unwanted programs of this type deliver intrusive ads displayed using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site, thus concealing underlying content. These ads can significantly diminish the browsing experience and, furthermore, clicking them might result in redirects to untrustworthy (possibly malicious) websites.
It is also possible that a clicked ad will execute a script that downloads and installs malware or other potentially unwanted programs. As well as the actions mentioned previously, PUPs are designed to record user-system information.
They collect data such as IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, search queries, keystrokes, geo-locations, and other data that might contain sensitive (personal) information.
This information is often shared with third parties to generate revenue for PUPs developers. PUPs sometimes run background tasks and affect computer performance. You are strongly advised to remove them immediately.

There are many potentially unwanted programs available on the Internet. They offer various "useful" tools and features, however, these are merely attempts to make these PUPs appear legitimate so that users are tricked into downloading them. Most PUPs are designed only to generate revenue and do not deliver the functionality promised or provide any value for regular users.
How did adware install on my computer?
Potentially unwanted programs are usually installed through intrusive ads, third party software downloaders/installers, or using a deceptive marketing method called "bundling". Third party software downloaders/installers are monetized by promoting PUPs - if you have used this software, it is very likely that a PUP was installed when you downloaded/installed some software.
On the other hand, bundling is a way to install PUPs with a regular software in a stealthy way. Developers hide these bundled programs in "Custom", "Advanced", and other similar settings/options of the installation processes and usually do not disclose these installations properly.
Skipping installation steps without checking the aforementioned settings/options often leads to installation of potentially unwanted software.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
There are several things that you should remember when downloading and installing software or browsing the web. First, download software from official/trustworthy sources and avoid using third party software downloaders/installers or torrents.
Second, do not skip software installation steps - check all available "Custom"/"Advanced" (and other similar) settings/options and opt-out any unwanted offers or features. Carefully choose which ads to click - most may seem legitimate, but cyber criminals invest time and money into their design, so it is difficult to determine if an ad is legitimate.
If you have accidentally clicked one of these ads and were redirected to an untrustworthy website (such as gambling, pornography, adult dating, etc.), close it immediately and check all installed programs on your computer, and extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins on your web browser.
Remove any unwanted/suspicious entries immediately. If your computer is already infected with eazydevlin.xyz, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate this adware.
