Ads by Advertise

What is "Ad by Advertise"?
"Ad by Advertise" are types of advertisements employed by various deceptive programs/browser add-ons that often infiltrate systems without consent.
Following successful infiltration, the associated apps and add-ons deliver intrusive online advertisements and continually gather various information relating to users' Internet browsing activity. These apps and plug-ins are thus categorized as potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) and adware.
Following infiltration, PUPs deliver pop-up, coupon, banner, and other similar advertisements that conceal underlying content, significantly diminishing the web browsing experience. In addition, they might redirect to malicious websites, and even accidental clicks can result in high-risk adware or malware infections. Another downside is information tracking.
Research shows that PUPs continually record Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, and other similar information relating to browsing activity. This information might contain personal details that PUP developers share with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who generate revenue by misusing private data.
Therefore, the presence of information tracking software can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. We strongly advise you to uninstall all adware-type applications immediately.

The Internet is full of adware-type applications, all of which are virtually identical. ShutDownTime, Bookmarks Access, and Right-Click Search are just some examples from many. By offering various 'useful features', PUPs attempt to trick users into believing that these apps are legitimate and useful.
In fact, the only purpose of all adware is to generate revenue for the developers. PUPs merely deliver intrusive online advertisements (via the"Pay Per Click" advertising model) and continually record various user-system information (which is later sold to third parties). Adware-type applications are useless for regular users.
How did potentially unwanted programs install on my computer?
PUPs are usually distributed using a deceptive marketing method called "bundling". Therefore, users often install PUPs inadvertently, without their consent, since they often rush the download/installation processes and skip steps.
Aware of this, developers hide bundled programs within the "Custom" or "Advanced" settings. Skip this section exposes systems to risk of various infections and compromises users' privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
To prevent adware-type infections, be very cautious when downloading and installing software. Carefully analyze each step using the "Custom" or "Advanced" settings and decline offers to download/install additional applications. Never install bundled programs.
