What is DynamiteArcade?
DynamiteArcade is a dubious application identical to FunOnlinePlay, GamesCake, GamesCrystal, and many others. By falsely claiming to allow users to play various arcade games, DynamiteArcade gives the impression legitimate software, however, it is classed as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
This PUP infiltrates systems without users’ permission, records various user/system information, and continually generates intrusive online advertisements.
To display pop-up, coupon, banner and other similar advertisements, DynamiteArcade uses a 'virtual layer' - a tool that enables placement of third party graphical content on any site. Note that these ads do not originate from users' visited websites and often conceal underlying content, significantly diminishing the web browsing experience.
Furthermore, they often redirect to malicious websites - clicking them risks further adware or malware infections. Another downside is information tracking. DynamiteArcade continually gathers IP addresses, website URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, and other similar data.
This information might be personally identifiable and shared by the developers of DynamiteArcade with third parties (who misuse private details to generate revenue).
Therefore, the presence of an information-tracking application on your system can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. Therefore, you are strongly advised to eliminate DynamiteArcade adware immediately.
Adware-type applications are often very similar. All claim to enhance the web browsing experience in certain ways, however, these claims are merely attempts to trick users to install. Research shows that adware-type applications are designed only to generate revenue for the developers.
These apps provide no real value for regular users. Apps such as DynamiteArcade cause unwanted browser redirects, gather private data, and deliver intrusive online advertisements.
How did DynamiteArcade install on my computer?
DynamiteArcade is free for anyone to download on its official website, however, research shows that this app is also distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' - stealth installation of third party apps with regular software/apps.
Developers of DynamiteArcade know that many users do not pay enough attention when downloading and installing software. Therefore, developers intentionally conceal third party applications within the 'Custom/Advanced' settings. By skipping this section, users often inadvertently install bogus programs.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
There are two main steps you should take to prevent this situation. Firstly, never rush when downloading and installing software. Closely analyze each step using the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings. Secondly, decline all offers to download/install third party applications and cancel those already included.
