Users often visit this website inadvertently - they are redirected by various potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). Research shows that these programs infiltrate systems without permission, cause unwanted redirects, run unwanted processes, deliver malicious ads, and gather various information.

Internet users should be aware that while Linkey may appear to be a legitimate add-on, it is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application since it installs on browsers without users' consent and modifies the homepage setting by assigning it to linkeyproject.com.

Furthermore, this plugin is known to diminish Internet browser performance and track users' Internet surfing activity by recording IP addresses, browser types, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), cookie information, and the web pages visited.

   
RASTAKHIZ Ransomware

What is RASTAKHIZ?

Based on an open-source ransomware-type project called Hidden Tear, RASTAKHIZ is a virus discovered by MalwareHunterTeam. Once infiltrated, RASTAKHIZ encrypts stored data. During encryption, RASTAKHIZ appends the ".RASTAKHIZ" extension to the name of each encrypted file.

0000 Ransomware

What is 0000?

0000 is an updated version of a high-risk ransomware-type virus called CryptoMix. This malware was first discovered by MalwareHunterTeam. Once infiltrated, 0000 encrypts most stored files and renames them using the "[32_random_digits_and_letters].0000" filename pattern.

For example, "sample.jpg" might be renamed to a filename such as "1F670AF7246B93059765E42328547745.0000". Henceforth, files become indeterminable and unusable. Once files are encrypted, 0000 places a text file ("_HELP_INSTRUCTION.TXT") in each existing folder.
