What is Godlua?
Godlua is 'backdoor malware' that can be used to infect computers of Windows and Linux users. To avoid detection, this malicious program uses the DNS over HTTPS protocol. One version targets Windows, whilst another targets both Windows and Linux systems.

It is also worth noting that in order to prevent anti-virus detections developers often use a slightly different application names (e.g., SpeedupMac~Pro, SpeedupMac-Pro, etc.)
What is splendidsearch.com?
splendidsearch.com is a deceptive website that supposedly enhances the browsing experience by providing quick access to popular websites and generating improved search results.
Judging on appearance alone, splendidsearch.com may seem legitimate and useful, however, criminals promote it using browser-hijacking applications, which infiltrate computers without consent. In addition, there is a high probability that splendidsearch.com will record user-system information relating to browsing activity.
What is Document Converter?
Document Converter is a deceptive application that supposedly allows conversion of various document formats. Its appearance suggests that this application is legitimate and useful, however, Document Converter is categorized as a potentially unwanted application (PUA) and a browser hijacker.
There are three main reasons for these negative associations: 1) stealth installation without users' consent; 2) promotion of a fake search engine, and; 3) tracking of browsing activity.
What is NetPanel Study?
NetPanel Study is a browser app advertised as a 'research tool', which collects information relating to users' browsing activity for the purpose of internet study.
People who download and install this app are offered the chance to win various prizes. To win, users must take surveys and answer various questions. In fact, these apps cannot be trusted, since developers share gathered data with other parties without permission. It is possible that NetPanel Study's developers also misuse users' data.
What is Boooam?
First discovered by malware researcher, Raby, Boooam is high-risk ransomware that stealthily infiltrates computers and encrypts most stored data.
During encryption, Boooam appends each filename with the ".boooam@cock.li" extension plus the developer's email address (e.g., "sample.jpg" might be renamed to a filename such as "sample.jpg.booam@cock_li"). In addition, Boooam generates an HTML file ("HOW_TO_DECRYPT_FILES.html") and stores it in every existing folder.
What is Related-Offers?
Related-Offers is supposedly a messaging application, however, its installation setup contains potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) such as adware and browser hijackers. This app belongs to the Bundlore adware family. When installed, it displays unwanted advertisements and might also gather browsing data.
You are advised against using apps such as Related-Offers - uninstall them immediately.
What is LimeRat?
LimeRat (or Lime Remote Administration Tool) is an open source malicious program that can operate as ransomware, a cryptocurrency miner, information stealer, keystroke logger, and computer worm.
This is dangerous malware that can cause data/financial loss, privacy problems, and various other serious issues. LimeRat is harmful malware - if it has infected your computer, remove it immediately.
What is Isolated?
Discovered by GrujaRS, Isolated is a new variant of high-risk ransomware called Aurora. Following successful infiltration, Isolated encrypts stored data (thereby rendering it unusable) and makes ransom demands. During encryption, this ransomware appends each filename with the ".isolated" extension (e.g., "sample.jpg" is renamed to "sample.jpg.isolated").
Once encryption is complete, Isolated generates three text files ("@@_README_@@.txt", "@@_ATTENTION_@@.txt", and "@@_HELPER_@@.txt") and stores them on the Desktop. These files contain an identical ransom-demand message.
What is newsfile[.]club?
newsfile[.]club is a rogue website that shares similarities with thegoodcaster.com, finderient.com, freshaudio.net, and many others. This website redirects visitors to other dubious sites and delivers dubious content.
Many users visit newsfile[.]club inadvertently - they are redirected by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) or intrusive advertisements delivered by other rogue sites. Research shows that many PUAs infiltrate computers without users' direct permission. In addition to causing redirects, they record data and generate intrusive advertisements.
